About

Hi, I'm Kelly Burnett

I am a qualified counsellor, BACP-accredited, and trained EMDR therapist, with experience in both long- and short-term therapy across a wide range of issues, including many long-standing and deeply rooted difficulties.

Before training as a therapist, I worked within the Health Authority as well as in education, giving me experience of supporting people of all ages and backgrounds.

I work in a trauma-informed way, and my practice is grounded in a Person-Centred and integrative approach, which means I can tailor therapy to meet your individual needs. Alongside this, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)—a highly effective, evidence-based therapy for trauma, anxiety, and other distressing life experiences.

Therapy can help you find ways to move forward and reconnect with your true potential. I aim to provide a safe, empathic, and non-judgemental environment where you have the time and space to explore your feelings and simply be yourself. Together, at a pace that feels right for you, we can work through distressing situations, negative thoughts, relationship problems, work-related stress, or past experiences.

I work with private clients, organisations, companies, and insurance providers, offering therapy that is ethical, safe, and professional.

As an Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), as well as EMDR trained Therapist, I work to the highest professional and ethical standards.
